About the role

Working at the intersection of engineering, project management, suppliers, and category management, you will translate technical and project requirements into robust sourcing strategies. During the NPI phase, you will focus on securing critical materials on time for prototype and pilot builds, while concurrently designing and establishing a sustainable supply chain that meets long-term cost, quality, and lead-time targets. Beyond project launch, you actively identify and drive supply chain improvements across the product lifecycle, together with our procurement department optimizing supplier performance, mitigating risks, and unlocking value through cost reduction, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Translating project needs into procurement plans with clear deliverables, deadlines, and risks

  • Developing and implementing project-specific sourcing strategies aligned with business goals, procurement and project requirements

  • Driving process improvements, digital tools adoption, and best practices in sourcing and NPI teams

  • Identifying and mitigating sourcing risks related to lead times, market fluctuations, capacity, or geopolitical factors during NPI phase

  • Supporting Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, capability, and capacity together with the Sourcing Team

  • Supporting competitive bidding processes (RFQ/RFP), cost breakdown analysis, and negotiations

  • Supporting negotiating and managing contracts, including commercial terms, SLAs, and long-term agreements for new suppliers

  • Supporting new supplier audits and qualification processes in collaboration with Quality and Engineering and Sourcing

  • Supporting sustainability objectives, including supplier footprint reduction and responsible sourcing initiatives

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (HBO/WO)

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing, ideally in project-driven environments (technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of project-based procurement environments, experience with international supply chains is an advantage

  • Proven analytical and cost modeling skills

  • Ability to align and motivate cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority, adapting communication and leadership style to effectively engage different stakeholders and achieve desired outcomes

  • Taking ownership of tasks and results with a proactive mindset, consistently going beyond defined responsibilities to drive success

  • Actively collaborates with colleagues across functions, fostering a supportive, cooperative, and team-oriented work environment
