About the role

As Team Lead Quality & Industrialization, you play a pivotal role in ensuring stable, scalable, and predictable production processes while delivering best-in-class product and process quality across the Business Line. Together with your team, you define, implement, and continuously improve quality and industrialization standards throughout New Product Introduction (NPI) and the full product lifecycle.

In this role, you combine technical depth with strong leadership capabilities. You lead the Quality & Industrialization team and contribute to its structural growth and development. With your leadership experience, you guide the team in performance management, recruitment, capacity planning, and people development. Experience with HR-related topics such as performance appraisals, interviews, calibrations, mid-year reviews, and end-year cycles is highly valuable in this position.

You work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and suppliers to enable manufacturable designs, efficient ramp-ups, and robust production processes. By driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance, you make a lasting impact on both business performance and long-term system improvement. Your responsibilities are:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10+ Quality and Industrialization Architects, creating a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative environment.

  • Take full ownership of team management activities, including performance management, recruitment, capacity planning, and succession planning

  • Drive team engagement, cohesion, and professional growth through strong interpersonal leadership and clear communication

  • Drive successful industrialization of new products by ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and predictable ramp-up performance.

  • Enable first-time-right product introductions with high yield, minimal disruption, and strong alignment between development and production.

  • Define, implement, and improve quality and industrialization standards across NPI and the full product lifecycle.

  • Drive quality excellence by reducing defects, increasing reliability, and embedding continuous improvement into daily operations.

  • Partner closely with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and suppliers to embed quality and industrialization early in design and process development.

  • Monitor and improve operational performance through clear KPIs such as defect rates, yield, process capability, and cost of poor quality.

  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and relevant regulations while balancing quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, preferably within electronics manufacturing, PCBA/SMT, testing, or mechatronic systems. 

  • Proven experience in a leadership or team lead role, with the ability to build and develop teams and drive performance. 

  • Experience with HR-related responsibilities such as recruitment, interviews, performance appraisals, calibrations, and development conversations . 

  • Advanced knowledge of quality engineering methods and tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and root cause analysis methodologies like 8D and DMAIC. 

  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), process validation, process capability, production ramp-up, and line qualification. 

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect technical depth to business impact and to act as a first point of escalation for stakeholders. 

  • Pragmatic, responsible, data-driven, and resilient in a fast-paced environment with pressure from operations, customers, and management. 

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. 

  • Salary is dependent on experience level
