About the role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (purchasing), you are responsible for ensuring and continuously improving the quality performance of suppliers throughout the product lifecycle. You act as the main quality contact between suppliers and internal stakeholders such as Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics and Customer Quality.
Key Responsibilities
Drive supplier quality improvements through nonconformity management, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
Lead supplier escalations and ensure timely resolution of quality issues affecting production or customers.
Review and approve supplier corrective actions (8D, RCA, CAPA) and verify their effectiveness.
Coordinate containment actions and support risk assessment for supplier-related quality concerns.
Monitor supplier quality performance and initiate improvement activities where necessary.
Coordinate return shipments, failure analysis and warranty investigations with suppliers and manufacturers.
Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements.
Drive effective communication between suppliers and internal teams to prevent recurring issues and minimize business impact.
This role combines technical problem solving, stakeholder management and supplier development to ensure a stable and high-quality supply chain.

What you bring
MSc. in business administration, supply chain management or technical degree.
3+ years’ experience in a supplier quality engineering role, with leadership in solving complex challenges from mechanical engineering domain.
Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance processes in the supply chain, including: Part Approval processes, Supplier Auditing, Supplier Development.
Experience with QMS standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS9100D
